Ethan Shea Horvath

Re: Ethan Shea Hovarth

Welcome Ethan. The US have a solid record at producing GK's. He made quite a big save in his last game as well.

Also, Forest absolutely love signing a Goalkeeper.

Ethan Shea Hovarth

This guy is a hero for saving a penalty against Mexico. I’d have him as number 1, I’m sorry Samba.

Highly rated by Klinsmann. I mentioned in the transfer forum that this feels like it would possibly be someone Dane Murphy and his spreadsheet knew about.

If it was any other keeper then I’d ignore it but I love this lad, probably one of the best in this league.

We also have samba who’s one of the best in this league.

Presumably some serious competition for Samba, meaning Smith can go on loan.

If he hadn't already singed I'd say more chance of Ethan Dekel...

American commentary is so awesome. Makes everything sound like the WWF.

When Sky Sports (wankers) did that "fanzone, they really should have done "yankzone"

Good evening Thomas.

Good signing. Strange that one of him and Samba is going to be bench warming. The one position I thought we were good with.

Re: Ethan Shea Hovarth

Club kept this one quiet. Is the thinking we can get a decent fee for Samba, or is Horvath just coming to be backup? That's 2 maybe 3 new keepers in a week with those joining the U23s.

New keeper shirt is my favourite so far.

Re: Ethan Shea Hovarth

Doesn't make much sense for a club with limited finances and numerous positions more in need of filling to be making a signing like this unless Samba is being sold, IMO.

Re: Ethan Shea Hovarth

By the time Smith is gone and Diallo’s wages are taken into account, there’s probably minimal financial outlay overall and we get two good keepers instead of one good keepers and two mediocre ones.

Presumably Hogarth is number 3 as he has first team experience already.

Hughton getting the house in order. I like it.

He was free and we've already slashed the wage bill, provides real competition for Samba - also do any of us really know that the club finances are that limited? Hear you on other positions, but there is still plenty of time.

Re: Ethan Shea Hovarth

Seems like he's joined as a free agent, so wages aside its not much of an investment. Probably doesn't mean that selling Samba is out of the question, if we can get a decent price for him I wouldn't be surprised if we end up selling him to facilitate signings in other positions

Given our mental transfer window last summer, I'd be more in shock if we weren't in the shit financially. Even with recent departures, our wage bill must be horrific. And that's before we consider the impact of COVID on finances.

Horvath feels more like a Samba replacement than someone happy to come here on low wages to be back up, IMO.

Re: Ethan Shea Hovarth

Clearly has something about him but hasn't played much at all over the last couple of seasons. I can't imagine he'd want to sit on the bench again now he's had a chance to pick his move. Can see him eventually being number 1 but it's definitely good to have a bit of competition. Samba is prone to losing concentration when he's not kept on his toes.

Free transfer and I doubt the wages will be massive considering where we have signed him from. I have backed Smith in the past as a capable number two, but in all honesty he really isn't good enough. Don't know much about this lad but hopefully he can push Samba and they can get the most out of eachother.
