England v Poland

Raymondo Ponte'

It's all about mid-table...
Now this is massive.

Can we negotiate this last huge hurdle?

We need to silence the 40,000 or so Poles inside Wembley with an early goal.

Pubs up and down the country will be full of Jam Rolls outsinging, outshouting and outdrinking us. We need to stay focused and concentrate on the job in hand. They will be out to spoil our qualifying party and give millions of "Jams" a night to remember in spite of them being unable to participate in Brazil next year.

Come on ENN GERRR LAND, do it for us, do it for Tutts and Ravi, do it for the piss-ups in the group stages in Brazil. JUST DO IT.

Can't wait. Got two tickets n been trying to get three more but there are only wheelchair tickets left. Who had the idea of selling 18,000 tickets to away fans ffs?

A home game for Poland it seems?......a bit like a home game for Pakistan at Headingley and a home game for the Springboks at Twickers? :)

Typical money making FA.
As lovely a stadium as it is, the way it's staffed by contract staff is woeful at Wembley.
I've seen many a near fight start as they don't stop potential problems early. They let some French guys put up a French Flag in the home end at one game - only taken down when some England fans tried to rip it down.

I'm British but I have a Polish surname (Grandad served with the Free Polish Air Force in WW2) and an English address. I'd have been concerned if I had applied for tickets in the England end and got them without questions.

There are many Poles with English addresses in this counry, several hundred thousand I believe. It makes sense to me to give them more official tickets to help with segregation. Particularly when it is an important game to England. The last thing we want is it all kicking off in the stands when we (England) fail to win.

It will kick off mate, there will be headlines nothing to do with the game tomorrow. You keep yourself safe.

I'll be there in my usual seat on row A of the upper tier.

I'm not sure Roy can afford to start with the same midfield. A central pairing of Super Frank and that twat from Liverpool used to get over run 8 years ago, I fear a massacre tomorrow night if this issue isn't addressed, particularly with our suspect defence.

I would go for Carrick and Wilshere.

It wont all kick off with the average punter who goes to Wembley nowadays. They're largely middle-class grumblers who will be silent as the grave if it wasn't for the cursed brass band. If England don't qualify they'll mostly drift off, complain how shit we are and naively blame the results of the problem rather than the root for the next few years - ie. foreign players in the PL.

Again I shall be watching Ireland, even though the game against the Kazakhs is something of a dead rubber as neither team will need to be taking Portuguese lessons any time soon.

I'm hoping maybe Reidy will get a game.

I shall of course be listening out for updates from Wembley though.

Yesterday's poll indicates a whopping 82% of the French have a poor/bad opinion of their National Football team and 54% believe they will fail in 2014.

Ouch. I'd love to know what England's results would be. I love the implication that up to 28% of the French have a poor opinion of the team but still find themselves thinking they will do well; hope shines through.

In all seriousness, I really hope we make Brazil as I find international tournaments by far the most entertaining aspect of the game (in contrast to qualifiers as the least), and Brazil will host one hell of an event.

I have a feeling that whilst the press cite the debacle of 2010 and the attitude of the players as being the reasons the French no longer love their national team.....I suspect Race and Religion are very much compounding factors.

Aren't you an Englishman living in France?

Do you not think it's odd you go on about immigration to British shores despite migrating yourself?

Where's me hammer?
If we do get there it would be nice for once to pick up a newspaper a few days before the tournament starts and not read that we are gonna win the dam thing.

We are a QF team at best hoping we can go out on our swords again on.penos so we can say "not again"

We have the excuses lined up (too many away fans), so all clear to get beaten at Wemberley

We tend to play much better in games that have no real meaning for us, such like this, but still, there's such a gap in quality between us and England that I honestly expect you to beat us 3-1, after a very good game of football, I hope.

I was born in England but have lived and worked abroad for far longer.

I have no problems with emigration, and have said so many times. What I criticise is uncontrolled immigration along with ghettoisation and a lack of integration, because it stigmatises the genuine migrant.

I supported the English football team up until they demonstrated they didn't care anymore in 2010. I actually think that playing internationals is well past its sell by date.
