I shall be mostly watching Germany vs Ireland, in the hope that Andy Reid plays although I don't hold out any hope at all of us getting anything against the Jerries.

I'll keep an eye on the England score out of morbid curiosity though.

Looking forward to this. Planning to go to the finals and I would slightly prefer to see England playing when I go.

Yeah, nice to care about an England game (or two) again. I think Hodgson will go 4-3-3:

Hart

Baines
Jagielka
Cahill
Smalling

Gerrard
Lampard
Wilshere

Sturridge
Rooney
Welbeck

I hope he goes 4-4-2:

Walcott is on the sick bed. Not many wing options. I just hope he doesn't play Ashley Young

Glenn says Spain have only about a 35% chance of winning the World Cup. He wouldn't put a figure on Englands chances bless him.

I thought Hoddle was a good England manager and set us up to play well when he was in charge. He had (and probably still has) some strange off field beliefs but he knows his stuff. He's still young enough to give it another go as well.

Can't wait for this. I'm going to to Wembley tonight for the first time since the 1992 Rumbelows Cup Final against Man Utd - I hope its better than that game. England missing their left back just as Forest were that day. I hope Brett Williams doesn't play.

My Dad and brother are coming down for it too. Pub suggestions please? Ideally one it won't take twenty minutes a round to get served in. We will probably get to Wembley around 5:30pm-6pm.

So which cheating bastard are we going to play on the wing, in the middle of midfield and up front? Who knows? Is it cheating bastard from Manchester, cheating bastard from London or cheating bastard **** from Liverpool?

I f***ing hate England players.

I have a feeling it will be a 3-0/4-0. Probably the patriotism, but with how it's been billed and hyped I can see us putting in a sensational performance.

I don't know why Roy persists with Gerrard and Lampard playing together in midfield, should be Wilshere, Gerrard and Carrick if we're playing a 4-3-3, with Lampard coming on after an hour or so.

Lampard and Gerrard's games have changed at the current age they are to compliment each other quite well I think. Gerrard naturally sits deeper for Liverpool and England now whilst Lampard still gets forward all be it not as much as he did. Would be happier with 4-4-2 that includes Wilshere, Lamps and Gerrard. Two up front I would have Sturridge and Rooney. I have not been Sturridge's biggest fan in the past but he is the form striker. Fed up of Wellbeck though he does seem to play slightly better for England than he does ManUre.

Wilshere needs to put in one hell of a performance after his recent outburst, which is good as it'll motivate him to prove to people.

Is Sturridge playing then? I guess this fixture is important enough for him to not pull out with a tummy ache.

Rooney and Sturridge have to start up front. If Welbeck plays I'll weep. On current form I'd have Gareth Barry in the middle as the midfield bastard but I don't even know if he's in the team. Gerrard and Lampard is alright but who's gonna do the dirty work?

That's my problem with Sturridge. In the past his attitude has been questionable. A bit sulky. But he is the form forward so would like to see him given a go.

Exactly my thoughts, but he has the quality so it's hard to not want him in the team.

Apparently Hodgson has stated this will be his midfield/forward line;

Milner----Lampard----Gerrard----Welbeck

--------Sturridge----Rooney--------

Never seen Milner as England quality tbh, but I could live with that lineup.
