Elliot Junior Anderson OF ENGLAND!

The psychology of breaking the £100m barrier is also validation (of sorts) for EM - that's big boy money...the project is working.

City are still trying to get their new manager under contract, some speculation they are having to negotiate with Chelsea re compen.

Also, Chelsea have been deemed out of the race for Anderson….however i would never discount them completely, especially as Fernandez is on his way to Madrid for £100m+

I also wouldn’t discount Arsenal you know. I know it’s unlikely but after he has an amazing World Cup alongside rice and they’re in my opinion after a centre mid with a fair bit to spend that link wouldn’t surprise me.

Been touting Arsenal myself, but Lewis-Skelly did eventually look more than decent at CM in the final.

Not sure where the hope I noticed around socials recently, that we would be keeping EA in the end, came from, but I guess that's over now. 🙄

Did anyone put a bet on him staying yesterday at 10/1? Now that bid is official, I would expect this to get done sooner rather than later. Stay strong EM!

Do we know what the opening big was? 105m mentioned on twatter.
None of the main journalists have mentioned the amount

As I said earlier today we will find out if he leaves this window over the coming week IMO. If they won’t pay our asking price before the WC, he’s not going to leave.

I am very content with this situation, it feels like a bit of a win win for us. We either get absolute maximum money or he will stay.

Loads of keyboard warriors saying that he's not that good, isn't worth the money etc. As if that's ever going to make EM bring the price down!

We have an asset, the price is set. It's not Forest that have driven the prices up and up over the previous seasons. Bitch all you like, but either pay it or don't pay it. It's really that simple.

Im not convinced he will leave.

Seems very settled, a huge family feeling at the club, other great players recently signed contracts or are likely to (Aina, Murillo, MGW, Neco), that is the signpost of intent by EM.

As many have said, give a red line for it to be completed before the WC, or its a NO, FRO to assess replacements.

Take the gamble on keeping him and the enticement of investment with future European football after next season.

City will pay the price. They really want him. It’s very standard for a bit of negotiation to happen before an agreement is reached.

Assuming this does happen, I’d like to implore Forest to spend this money on real quality, and not feel every penny has to be spent this summer. It’s an amount that should make a big difference to us.
