Elliot Anderson

Considering City's deluded response since this broke, still denying everything, I wouldn't be surprised if he was reassured the charges were nonsense and the club would definitely be fine. And if that's the case, I wonder if he could claim signing the contract under false pretenses? I'm sure his contract is probably locked in but I'm sure all their players are talking to their agents right now.
Surely Pep leaving would have alarm bells ringing. A slimy individual like that would be scarpering rather than face any scrutiny.

I hope the deal is watertight. We got a great price for him.
I think we got it all up front didn’t we? They should say to City, you can have it back, but you’ll have to go get it off the big man 😅

technically speaking if there is a misrepresentation then the contract is voidable (they can choose to annul it), but for obvious reasons it's quite difficult to meet the required criteria and even then the main remedy is rescission, which would involve if possible returning Ando to Forest and City getting their money back, so I doubt that would happen. Ando might be able to cancel his contract with City though but again this would be hard to prove...

The fact it seems the club knew from the PL they would be found guilty in July and then still spent money on a lot of players like Mensa Boy as well as Ando and others - indeed, younger players as well - knowing they were going to be punished heavily for it, does seem ethically wrong even if it may not have broken any laws or rules. I think players might in the future think hard about signing for city knowing what has happened, which is probably a reason why they had the policy they did in the summer.

Given the number and nature of the charges most of these players will probably be leaving anyway if they have relegation clauses or quite simply would ask to leave and if someone like Haaland was denied that and they'd been relegated to L2 you could easily see Hooijdonk style action...

Man City need an almighty kicking. Just hope that the sanctions match the offences. Stick them in L2 and make them play in ‘flip flops’ for two seasons. Let’s see how Anderson likes those onions.

Relegation is too good for the likes of Man Cheatey.
Nothing short of compulsory winding up goes far enough.
And I am not so naive as to believe this will happen.

I wonder if he’s regretting those comments he made about City being the governor’s in Manchester.
Was that not supposed to be Paul Ince?

(One for the older readers, there).

He’s doing well for himself, managed to become World Rally Champion at the weekend, although they got his name wrong.
