I don't know about Frank Rijkaard, but Rudiger Völler is a frequent match day spectator at Bundesliga matches, courtesy of his role as Sporting Director of the Nationalelf for the German FA (Deutscher Fußball Bund).

He is often spotted at games, regularly doing a bit of "talent spotting" - I have seen him in the posh seats at my local side often in the company of former Stuttgart (and Germany) manager, Joachim "Jogi" Löw.

I would also say, "Rudi" is one of those rare players that nobody seems to have a bad word for, he is often mobbed whenever he is seen in public, and everyone seems to absolutely love.
Good footballer too.

Taken from our official site…We’re sitting at the top table…could be worse…

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis was invited to the inaugural UEFA Champions League Dinner this week.

The exclusive networking event, held in Budapest ahead of this weekend’s showpiece final, brought together leading figures from across sport, media, technology, investments and the entertainment industry.

Hosted by UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin, European Football Clubs chairman and Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi, and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, the evening focused on the future of the global sports business ecosystem.

The Forest owner was joined at his table by Barcelona president Joan Laporta, Arsenal and Denver Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke, Fulham owner Shahid Khan, Manchester City chairman Khalifa Al Mubarak, and RedBird Capital and AC Milan executive Jerry Cardinale, as well as key figures from the international business world including PepsiCo chairman Ramon Laguarta, Ferrari chairman John Elkann, and Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff.
Hope there was no fisticuffs ;)

Might be at the Stags family wrestling though as the main event.
Kin ell, „Family Wrestling“ in Mansfield, you’re going to get at least 20-30 people roped into that aren’t you?

Because, yeah, you know 😂

The Big Man has just tried to buy Botafogo alongside Kia Joorabchian and John Big Text Textor in the last couple of hours.

They didn't get the nod in the end (seems like it was an open auction that had to be approved by a board).

Not good news that Kia J is hanging around, christ knows what Big Text is up to.

Ok this is all happening a bit rapidly and i'm not really sure whats going on but despite the fact that the Advisory Council of Botafogo have vetoed the offer by the Big Man/Kia, Big Text is saying that he will be voting for the offer and as he has 90% of the vote thats all that matters (?).

People have mixed feelings about Kia, but he's a different man than he was at Corinthians. He has become incredibly successful outside Brazil and is a partner with some of the richest people in the world. Today, he has access to some of the most influential athlete networks in the world… And he's basically the front man for Marinakis, who knows Brazil as well as anyone in Europe. I needed partners for this, because I knew my proposal would be rejected. But I represent the 90% of the vote and I will vote for Kia/Marinakis – said Textor.

At the meeting held on Monday night (1/6), around 50 Botafogo councilors unanimously approved GDA Luma's proposal. The proposal of the MasterCom Capital was not accepted for lack of financial guarantees, and Textor's offer was unanimously rejected.

Just seen this on X, trying to get my head around it as its all different rules for buying clubs over in Brazil, So it looks like they rejected the offer but how can Textor vote for it when its been rejected its confusing

From what I have understood
- Textor (via Eagle) owns about 90% and the club side (advisory council) has 10%. Textor was removed from running the club in April by an arbitration court over governance/financial issues, but hasn’t actually been forced to sell yet
- There are a few bids on the table. A private equity group (GDA) is the one the council seems to prefer and is viewed as the most solid overall
- Textor is still trying to push his own deal, (which is bringing in Marinakis and Kia_. Even if that’s not the preferred option internally, he’s been on social media after the rejection, saying he wants to sell to them and he has the final say since he holds the 90%
- The main issue is trust. The council / fans don’t trust Textor after everything that’s happened, and there’s also pushback on Kia because of his past (leaving Corinthians in a mess etc.), so that option is unpopular even if it might offer money
