The EFL just need to see the money so they could complete the season, it doesn't matter when it has to be repayed.Clowes says a loan has been made so Direby can continue to trade.
I understood that the guarantee of funding demanded by the EFL specifically said that the funding could not be a repayable short term loan?
Maybe I got that wrong?
The plan was for him to buy the stadium and rent to Kirchner. He did his bit but Kirchner pulled out. Neither Ashley and Appleby want to rent, they want to buy it.So.... and ignore me if i've missed the boat.

As a developer, he has another option: don't buy the club; don't rent the ground out to whoever buys the club; apply for change of use planning permission; convert stadium to Amazon warehouse. Job done. The plan was for him to buy the stadium and rent to Kirchner. He did his bit but Kirchner pulled out. Neither Ashley and Appleby want to rent, they want to buy it.
His only option to avoid having a stadium with no club is to buy the club himself. I feel his initial good intentions are going to hit his pocket big time.
That's what I thought, but his statement says they completed on 17th June - A week after the Kirchner deal collapsed. The plan was for him to buy the stadium and rent to Kirchner. He did his bit but Kirchner pulled out. Neither Ashley and Appleby want to rent, they want to buy it.
