I find this utterly bizarre……..I know it’s a tiny minority wanting heads to roll……..I really feel sorry for the poor sod who as rode in on a white horse……..but for him they’d be in a world of hurt…having first stopped at desperation and shattered dreams parkway’s………

I said at the time, I've respect for Clowes putting a considerable chunk of his personal wealth into the club to save them but their fans won't thank him for it.

As soon as it looks like a promotion push isn't going to materialise and he doesn't spend big on players / break the rules like their hero Mel Morris the knives will be out for him.

Having said that, even I'm surprised at how early the grumbling has started. If they are already starting to play up, imagine what it is going to be like when they actually do hit a bad patch of form?

I'm not sure, ultimately a subtle, faux dignified, slow death might be just as entertaining as that calamitous implosion would have been.

The gulf between our club and theirs is just too vast as it stands. We should forget about them for a few years and turn our attention to new rivals, like Everton or West Ham. Ok a point at Shrewsbury doesn’t sound great but to be honest from their perspective, 7 points from the first 4 games has to be seen as a success. Given the enormous turmoil, over the hill signings and rookie manager?

They’re not doing half as bad as you might have expected. Early though and their OAPs and kids might come unstuck as the season goes on.

In all seriousness the level between L1 and L2 isn't that vast. We need them to miss promotion this year, get hammered by the wage cap next season and let reality bite them that they're not going to be able to buy their way back to the championship.

In fairness their last season in the PL went swimmingly well didn't it? I know they were in it for 2/3 years more than we were but their PL record since 2002 is about as good as ours in terms of wins...
