Probably a mix of all of the above. He earns a shed load, is just 23 years old and a 'lively' badger so you'd hope he has someone to look out for him and keep him on track - you get the impression he needs it.

His Mum. She was always around when he was at Forest.

Got no problem with a bit of a dickhead streak in a player if they can back it up on the pitch. You need someone who's got a bob on themselves sometimes.

In fact it's bloody weird that society has become so brainwashed by corporates that some folk don't value arrogance IMO. No wonder every "rockstar" we get now is a pleb on-stage with so many down on cockyness.

But they do have to back it up on the pitch. Djed needs to recognize that his peak so far is in the Championship, not a level which warrants a super-huge ego. Can't fault him for sticking it to Warnock though.

I recall many stating a certain S.V. Collymore had a bit of an attitude problem as well, but he backed it up on the pitch by being absolutely unplayable on his day (which, to give him credit, seemed to be pretty much every week when he was in a Forest shirt).

He wanted to be the main man, and Frank Clark facilitated that, building side whose main directive seemed to be „get the ball to Stan“. Mind you, it was pretty successful.

Yup. Kill that arrogance and you kill the player.

Sure it has to be managed and channeled correctly, but if it is I think it's a very healthy quality.

The sad thing is, if these few seasons of being unable to get regular football and being punted all over the place doesn’t tell Djed he needs to sort himself out there’s a good chance he’ll waste the obvious talent he has.

The Xmas party won't pay for itself, sounds like selfless acts to take the fines :nowink:

To me it sounds like he has a bad attitude and we might have just been lucky enough to not really see it here.

If these reports are true, they reflect badly on Djed:

We didn't see it because either Cooper tolerated it or knew how to manage it. I guess we'll never know which but it seems there was plenty with Brice which was kept under wraps because of the player's ability and importance to the team, so it is possible it could be either.

Warnock was right and it felt so when we had him as well - he never said he was definitely bad and not going to do anything, he said it depended on how he behaved as to whether he'd end up PL or Non league as he could go either way. If he knuckles down and gets on with his game, then it's likely he will be a PL wing back for someone, hopefully this loan will allow him to get some matches under his belt in an environment which is different and with fewer distractions and then he can come back to Spurs and get a move to another PL side, I could see maybe a promoted side taking the gamble.

One of the club events he failed to turn up to was a trip to a childrens hospital over Christmas, think that was the final nail

He played a big part in one of our best seasons in the last couple of decades. His mum was a class act in the crowd too.

I don't really care if he's a waster or whatever else, he did well for us and I wish him the best. Although in fairness, it does feel like as a club we've outgrown him and he probably made a poor move for his own career prospects.
