Demise of Everton

Admin won't be on the cards until late next year at the least because they can use player sales to pay for the running costs so they will have time at least to try and find a buyer but if nothing has progressed by next season they will be in the shit and that's not discounting what happens on the pitch

They will have to prove they have enough money to finish this season & that's gonna come from player sales or more loans now

The only thing I don't like about this is that it's happening to the blue scousers and not the red ones.

Ha. Imagine going under because you didn't take £50mil for one of your defenders.
It does baffle me that they're in a position to say no given they haven't got a pot to piss in and are crippled with debt.

They'll argue he's worth more and perhaps there's an argument there - I've not really seen him play enough to judge.

It's still insane to me though.

I think I read that Freidkin had also put in £200 million for running costs whilst they were in negotiation so I guess the next bidder will have another 200 Million as well as the 200 Million loaned by 777 to take into account. I might have got this wrong 😆

Everton's name popped up over here as well, for all the wrong reasons.

We had agreed terms with Martin Braithwaite, who came to Greece, passed his medicals, and then decided to ask for more money, claiming there was interest from him by Fenerbahçe and Everton. It's one thing to lie and another to chose such a badly constructed lie. He got the boot before you could say "Braithwaite".

Another day, another company getting an exclusivity period

Is it just me that finds this absolutely mental?

They have given exclusivity to a guy that can't even buy the club until he sells his stake. And has the exact same issues at his other clubs that 777 had where he consistently doesn't pay his bills & has cash flow issues.

He can't even put money into the club like 777 or the Friedkin Group did when they were trying to buy them as it would break Premier League rules. They are just asking to be liquidated.

Dyche says they are already down to "around 14 recognised first-team players" for the trip to Spurs.

He also says they still need to sell and will listen to any offers for DCL that come in.

Oh well :D

I know Spurs are a bit shit but that strikes me as a bit complacent from Dyche. 😉

Forest won the Championship in 1977-78 using only 16 players all season.
What is Dyche's worry?
I can't remember how many subs were allowed to clubs in 1977-78, but is was possibly up to 3.
11 starters plus 3 subs = 14 players.

No, it was still only one sub that season, Cap’n. And from memory more often than not we didn’t bother even to make that one change. I think it was some time in the 1980s that 2 were allowed, then 2 plus a goalie if required, before the more recent changes designed to favour the richest clubs, whereby you can have 9 subs and play 5 of them.

Everton seem to start every season woefully

I know people will say Dyche will Dyche them out of trouble but he has gone down a few times before, I don't think their supporters have the belief that he got at Burnley.

They will almost certainly lose Branthwaite in January if they aren't sold as they will need money to keep the lights on and finish the stadium.

DCL isn't going to generate big money. He's one of the most over rated players in the game. A striker who doesn't score. !!
