Dean Henderson

Sels has been excellent for us, and so has Wood. However, think their age has catched up with them and should be moved on. Would want us to keep Sels just in case we don't get Henderson and instead end up with a Turner / Vlad keeper.

I think it's a case of both. Hendo should have done better to save the shots especially as they were from range but our defenders and midfielders should have done better at closing them down / preventing the shots to begin with. Either way the team is better now and he has probably learned more and improved since then. It's noticeable that those goals weren't as frequent with Navas but then we're talking about an experienced La Liga keeper who has won the CL and played in world cups etc. Even he was clearly on the wane and not the Keylor Navas of like 3-4 years before.

Hendo with 2/3 years in the Palace side as first choice and also some England apps (I think he should be first choice these days because Pickford is also well into his 30s) is going to be an improvement on the Hendo we have on loan, probably on a par if not better than Sels current level, and in a year or 2 much better than Sels. He knows the club, even though most of the playing side has changed since he was here...

It seems a no-brainer and actually, we should probably have tried to get him from man u more, but they were clearly being silly as they were with Garner the year before.
 
I beleive Munoz was towards to end of his contract and they have a replacement already. However I just can’t see this happening. I love hendo but surely this is just trolling.

I'm wondering if this is because of Munoz and maybe one or both of them have a sell on or some other addon they want to avoid... could be a combined fee for both of them
 
Very curious. I think Henderson has developed into a good solid keeper, but I am uncertain he is better than Sels, unless we are moving Sels to some Belgian side (he has wanted to return home, apparently). So if we move Sels it makes sense. If not, seems a bit of an odd endeavor.
 
Watch out Parish, the cult has reached tipping point. They can turn a blind eye to the last 18 months, but not this.

I don’t think we would be bidding if it was a no-go.

Palace continually undervalue their players, that’s why their entire team has been sold. They’ll end up losing Wharton for £20m just before his contract expires.

Crystal Palace have no plans to sell any more of their players to Nottingham Forest in the final days of the transfer window.

And on Saturday night, a report has emerged of a bid from Forest to sign Palace's goalkeeper and captain Dean Henderson.
