Juve must have found a few euros down the back of the sofa, initially they didn’t want to meet the asking price.
Sorry Garibaldi, this is a pretty random sweeping take about Italian football. McTominay was sensational last year, did you watch him? What that communicates isn't that Serie A is week, it highlights that Man United are a complete basket case who held him back in the role they were prepared to give him, while Napoli saw some potential and helped released it. You know, a bit like a certain team in red releasing a guy named Elliot Anderson after his previous team didn't give him a chance or use him properly. It's very similar, Anderson is now one of the best players in the Premier League, but that doesn't lead to casting aspersions over the league based on his efforts at the former club.Whilst I would have had McTominay here before his move as a good lower Prem CM, he is considered the best player in the league in Italy highlighting the league's weakness.
Frueler and Ndoye couldn't/can't hack it. Dominguez is the outlier due to his engine.
Wary.
Yeah I watched McTominay a fair few times last season and the way he played was nothing to do with opposition weakness and everything to with how unbelievable he was.Sorry Garibaldi, this is a pretty random sweeping take about Italian football. Ndoye has barely had a chance yet and hasn't had time to adapt, saying he can't hack it is unbelievably unfair.
As an older pro it was quickly clear that Freuler's playing style probably wasn't best suited to the Premier League, at least not in the context of the 'team' he was playing in, he would have potentially done very well at a PL team that plays his style but not a low block counter attack team. Does mean he was awful or couldn't hack it under any circumstances.
I don't think Frattesi is really what we need, but it's not because Serie A is awful like you are trying to argue here.

I was out at training but I managed to catch both Fofana's second hilarious moment of the season and Pavlovic's top tier shithousery for the penalty.Agree 100% with this.
I watch a fair bit of Serie A with much enjoyment, and the standard is excellent.
McTominay is frankly playing like a beast, yes, he may well be the reincarnation of prime Liam Brady combined with Andrea Pirlo both in their pomp, but that’s because he’s a bloody good player who was clearly being held back by the absolute post-Ferguson basket case that is Man U.
My yesterday evening viewing was Milan-Genoa, which was a fabulous game, especially compared with the apparent drudgery that was Arsenal-Liverpool.
It was a cracking match though, Genoa shithousing a goal, Milan piling forward until they got an equaliser, and then at the death, a spot-kick awarded to Genoa, which was punted in the vague direction of the International Space Station.I was out at training but I managed to catch both Fofana's second hilarious moment of the season and Pavlovic's top tier shithousery for the penalty.![]()
Serie A love ref cam. Sometimes it is absolute gold!It was a cracking match though, Genoa shithousing a goal, Milan piling forward until they got an equaliser, and then at the death, a spot-kick awarded to Genoa, which was punted in the vague direction of the International Space Station.
Ref-Cam was brilliant, pushing, shoving, complaints, fingers being pinched together and waved, it is just brilliant.
God, I love Serie A sometimes.
