Yeah because CHO was so much better second half. Players from last season are also below par yet obviously it’s easy to blame the new lads.
That doesn’t change the fact N’Doye has been shit for weeks and needs dropping. If CHO stinks the place out for a month like N’Doye he will also be called shit and unfortunately for Forest we will then be in deep shit.

He tackles back well.
He didn’t tackle back well when he let Dewsbury Hall run past him in the second minute of the game, and he didn’t tackle back well when he sold himself cheaply and let him cut back and shoot/cross freely.

A winger that tackles back well also doesn’t cost 35m. So my question still stands: what did our recruitment team see in him to warrant that kind of fee?

Most of his good moments here relate to doing things that a striker would do

Maybe we need to pull a Wenger/Henry and relieve him of his winger duties

He seems to have a decent shot on him.

That's about as much as I can say.

Classic case of looking decent in Italy (for one season) and it not translating over here.

He puts in a shift but has been poor the last couple (at least). Looks like a player trying to play his way through teething problems - he's a better player than we've seen this last week, though he might haved play his way out of the starting berth he's benefitted from ahead of those hopefully getting closer to full fitness.

Not writing him off yet, but he definitely should be dropped after recent performances. One of either CHO or Bakwa (if fit) alongside Hutchinson on the wings against Spurs please Sean.

I wonder. We buy these players who shine elsewhere, then they come to the CG and seemingly can't play.

Are they duff goods or are we just not playing to their strengths? In other words, do we adjust to them or try to get them playing our way? Or just cut our losses? The Swiss might not play to our exalted standards and Italy might not have a very good league, but are they really that far behind us?

Sorry, I'm just thinking out loud. Dan played pretty well when he first arrived, but lately has gone off the boil; he's not been here long enough to know if it's a drop in form or he's just not very good. So I suppose don't write him off just yet.

Was it Ndoye who lost the ball for the 3rd goal aswell? This league is so physical you just can't afford to carry players..

With each passing game he plays that £35m we paid for him is looking like seriously bad business. He's showing nothing at all.

I keep seeing posts about his work rate like I'm supposed to be impressed he's showing the absolute minimum requirement.

Said it before and i'll say it again - he's Brennan Johnson without the threat and more importantly the goals.

Should have kept Elanga and sold someone else.

At that point you have to look at tactics as well. Any time either of them receive the ball it seems like they have 3 opposition players around them and no forest player in sight.
Dyche aint as fast in the counter, they do play a bit more with him in charge. Id hasten to add thats why sangare is looking so much better now, at bit more time on the ball.

Elanga is another player who's gotten better since he can't play for us any more though.

He had a spell mid season when he was basically unplayable. But after that goal vs Man Utd when he ran the length of the pitch in the 1st minute he didn't do much in terms of G/A after and then I don't think he did before Villa in December. In terms of return I'd hazard a guess that up to this point in the season his return last season is similar to Ndoye's this

Plus Ndoye is settling in to a new club, new country, new language and also probably the most demanding league in the world.

He won't be the first or last player to have a slow start, it just depends on if he's going to get any better.

He's also on his third manager as are all of the squad this season.

I see the same concerns as the rest of you lot but are the others any better? CHO has done little either. The only winger who'd really playing well is Omari

If he's fit, then feels as though Bakwa plus CHO on Thursday, which then gives Dyche the option of reverting to 2 fresh wide players on Sunday if he wishes (Ndoye and Hutch). Not sure he'll gamble on starting Bakwa although he played over an hour last week didn't he. Ndoye started with so much promise in the first 3-4 games but has faded. Lost confidence. Lost directness in terms of running with the ball and taking on players, and also in terms of making intelligent, advanced runs. Let's hope he can get it back.

I agree CHO has been poor too but he at least has credit in the bank. We know what he's capable of.

Ndoye has shown naff all in almost every game.
