Berkshire Red
Jack Burkitt
Play him on the left instead.
Just liked this post but realised it was from Sunday. Tells its own storyHe was really poor today. Never seemed to take the right option, was weak in the tackle, and just didn't seem up for the fight.
He's had good games this just wasn't one of them. But he needs to earn his place and I think he's opened the door for Hutchinson.
That's pretty wild actually. Not sure if it says more about Ndoye or HutchJust posted this in the match thread.
Mark on Forest Focus just gave these stats
Hutchinson 298 mins
Ndoye 953 mins
Hutch 1 start
Ndoye 13
Hutch 36 crosses
Ndoye 32
Hutchinson 11 shots
Ndoye 8
Hutch 10 successful crosses
Ndoye 7
Hutch 13 chances created
Ndoye 9
Third of the time on the pitch and 12 less starts and look at the difference. Those stats tell you everything
How many times have you seen him 'glide' past a man?Runs incredibly hot and cold. Maybe Luke warm and stone cold.
The positive for me is when he does run a man he can glide past them (then hoof the ball out of play), but feels like confidence is completely gone, and trying too hard. Point being I’d rather see that than nothing. There is a player in there somewhere.
Just hope he doesn’t become the Sangare of ‘25 and everyone destroys him.
The broader context is he has come to a new league and had 3 different managers. If CHO was flying then he would be given the grace of being eased in like Hutch.
His stats don't match up well against Hutchinson's, but that says more about Omari's bright start than Ndoye being awful imo. Compare Ndoye to CHO and I'm sure it's much more similar - and I think most of us are very happy with CHO overall, if perhaps a little disappointed with his returns this season.Runs incredibly hot and cold. Maybe Luke warm and stone cold.

People also forget his excellent form for his country and the amount of minutes has has played. It’s Ndoye’s turn to be sold now then
A few weeks ago Hutchinson was the sack of shit that was a complete waste of money, now he’s our best player
Wingers blow hot & cold, especially new ones to the league. He has been on an upwards trajectory since joining, he’s gone back down in the past 2 games. CHO probably gets the nod against Everton now based on that - who has arguably had a slower season than Ndoye so far but we know he is class.
Good post, and the bolded part is pretty shocking tbf.I think as it stands, I think we're actually being a little bit harsh on Dan, if I'm honest. He's still delivering to a high level for the Swiss. He's had two and a bit managers already, he's just come to the league for the first time in August, he's acclimatising to the city and the squad and he's in great form for the Swiss.
When it comes to Elanga, in the first few months of last season Elanga was actually honking. Elanga has two assists and no goals for Newcastle since joining in the summer and he's cost almost twice what we paid for N'Doye. However, Elanga had the kind of speed that afforded him time and opportunities to deliver what he delivered. He also had one of these best focal points in Chris Wood last season to aim for. Elanga was here for a full season before last season. In fact, Elanga didn't hit form until December last year.
When it comes to Hudson-Odoi, Callum has one goal contribution in 18 games this season and he hasn't scored since the second game of the season. Granted he has played 200 minutes less but N'Doye has three goal contributions in that same amount of time. Callum hasn't created a goal for another Forest player since the 6th of January 2025. While part of that may be on the finishing, that's a woeful stat. Additionally, Callum was here for a full season before last season too and he's into his third season at Forest.
As for Brennan, it's been a while now but Brennan was essentially the focal point/main outlet of the team during 2022-2023. Like Elanga, he had get out of trouble speed that allowed him a lot more.
The only outlier there is Hutchinson, because Hutch already has five assists to his name in 10 appearances and around 380 minutes of football. But, then pre-Leeds, the narrative around Hutch was that maybe he might be an expensive flop.
Point being, there is a good player in N'Doye somewhere. He was admittedly quite shite tonight but I have more faith in him to be a big player for us this season. I'd really like to see what he does when Woody comes back.
