Dan Assane Ndoye of SWITZERLAND

Only saw snatches of the game last night, mainly because I was flitting between the England game as well and partly because I found both games a bit boring so watched something else, too.

But what I did see, Dan danced through the Scots defence looking good, but Remo Freuler also looked good, so I suppose that the quality of opposition was a bit suspect. That's the only way I can think of why his performances with us are a notch down on last night.

Freuler is a good footballer Richard. He just didn't meet our needs in a low-block system at that time.

That Scotland 11 looked awful so I’d be more worried if he couldn’t look half decent against a poor Scotland side who went down to ten men after 11 minutes.

I thought he was decent but not sure he's particularly well-suited to the Premier League, which is becoming more of an issue with foreign players with each passing season.

I never suggested that Freuler is elite-level. My belief is that he'd have been a good fit at other more-established PL clubs, just not here unfortunately with the style-of-play we needed to adapt to in order to try and survive.

Just to be safe I think it should now become club policy to steer clear of any Swiss internationals from now on.

But yet they are both constantly in Switzerland's starting 11 and do well
It's a significantly lower level though isn't it? Bit different playing against Scotland than playing week in week out in the Premier League.

Ndoye has a decent record for Switzerland, but looking back the goals have been against Jordan, Australia, Slovenia amongst others. The outlier is the goal against the Argies although I watched that game and he should've had 3. He was so bad in their other World Cup games too but somehow manages to fool multiple managers into playing him.

Why we didn't strengthen in that area in the summer is beyond me as we're now backed into a corner of playing either him or Jesus who I'm not convinced is the answer long-term either.

Sorry but don't you realise how stupid this sounds?

Multiple professional managers keep picking him, but it's because he fools them and actually the sideline fans are right with their opinion that he's crap?

How many "world class" players are there who are shit for their national team? Surely if the level is significantly lower they'd excel for their country as well.

Cracking goal, to be fair, held off his man and swept home with some decent technique there.

2-1 Suisse, décent game, this!

Still believe he'll have a decent season for us.

Promising signs against Liverpool and Villa. He's not maybe the answer when teams sit deep against us, but we've a run of home games coming up where that won't happen. Judge him in a couple of months.

Can we capture the swiss ndoye and swap him with ours whilst nobody is looking?

The most frustrating player, because you know he's talented. He's going to drop a stinker next time he plays for us.
