I actually have no idea who our favoured starting 2 would be with all these incomings. If it is a 2.

I'll go for Mangala and Freuler but could also see Mangala & Yates, O'Brien & Freuler, Palace chap and Mangala.....
Not to mention Malinovskiy, who I think would be the best midfielder of the lot and a guaranteed starter.

I think Cooper would be looking at O'Brien to learn from Malinovskiy as they have a similar style.

I'd use Kouyate in away games and especially against bigger teams. Again, Yates will be learning a lot from him and his experience.

Freuler and Mangala will have their game time. It's great to have options for different types of opponents.

Just because of how Newcastle were able to dominate us in the middle, and we seem to be bringing in so many players in the same or similar roles, I wouldn't be surprised if the most frequent starting lineup ends up being 3 from Mangala / Freuler / Kouyate / Yates / O'Brien / Colback (probably picked in that order), with only two of Lingard / Johnson / Dennis / Awoniyi / Surridge in front of them. Then that leaves the option of switching it to be a bit more attacking depending on how the game progresses.

I was leaving the ACM's out of the equation but the possibilities are endless.

I miss the days of Sammy the crab Clingan & co. 😭

Are we sure they don't have to announce them before midnight to be in the squad tomorrow? Weird timing.

If we get Maupay as well, we’ll have a real Francophone group in the squad.

Biancone, Niakhate, Mbe Soh, Kouyate and Maupay. I suppose Freuler speaks French too, being Swiss.

We're sure.

Clubs have to register players by noon on the last working day before the match, which in this case would've been Friday, so probably hasn't happened for either.

When they're announced is irrelevant - there's no obligation to make a public announcement at all. It's technically possible (but unlikely to actually happen) that the first official confirmation we get is when the player is named in a team / on the bench an hour before KO. Though actually - Freuler was thought to be the deal furthest along of the three and we've not heard anything about that yet..

Happy with this, we don't expect miracles from him but I hope he suprises a few people.

He played a lot last season for a very good & youthful side.

Apparently he has some controversy in his past with regards to LGBT?

I don't know what it is, but apparently thats why he fell out of favour at Palace.
