Been following this closely as I know his mum. Not looking as straight forward as that at all.

"I say I didn't drink too much, but I can't remember anything. Therefore I MUST have been spiked and if I had sex I must not have consented."

Whenever I woke up back in the good old days with a lady friend with me and no memory of how she got here, I would assume I was still a super stud when leathered, not that I had been spiked and molested. Plenty of drunken sex going on every weekend, and unless the girl is so out of it she has no idea what is going on, then it's a drunken bad decision not rape.

How long does the "spiking" substance stay in the body?

Not going to comment until the verdict is reached which I believe is either tomorrow or Friday.

Either way he sounds lovely. Torrid sordid affair from start to finish.

Typical footballer really. Sad but true. So many have so much talent but don't know how to behave and how to use their mountains of money they shouldn't get.

Surely he's innocent until proven guilty?

Yes, of course and this is what our club have showed hence why he has been playing games. However, if he is not guilty, it was still a stupid position to get himself into and one that I hope the club makes clear is not acceptable.

Hmmmmm, I don't know if I agree with that. How many professional footballers are in England. And how many go on trial for rape?

Didn't mean specifically rape. I meant being in trouble and setting a damn awful example. There has been too many of them especially compared to other sports men/women.

There are more footballers than any other players of any other sport in the country. If there are 10 bad footballers in a total of say 1,000 that's only 1%. If there were 10 bad sprinters out of say 100 that's 10%. It's just footballers are more high profile. 1 player can give 1,000's of others a bad name.

Maybe so but they still don't know how lucky they are. Most men would give anything to be paid (and a lot of money at that) to kick a football around. Those that are talented enough to do this should think twice before they are all over the papers in trouble. Yes, they give the rest a bad name but that is just like most aspects of life e.g.football hooligans. Granted, they have too much money and don't know what to do with it but even so, there seems to be so many who end up in trouble or in a bad way.

I get your point though - due to the numbers, there is always going to be some who give the rest a bad name.

Probably not even worth commenting then, given the ratio of sexual assault complaints to convictions in this country.

Quite surprised that a couple of people seem to be so clued up about this case and know already that she wasn't raped but was actually gagging for it. It's contempt of court that - to go public before the verdict. Or perhaps they've just resorted to lazy assumptions. Who knows...

Indeed. With the alcohol involved (and the drugs in her case I believe) the only 3 people that know what happened are her, Evans and the other idiot, Macdonald.

Is that aimed at me? I haven't said whether they are guilty or not. I merely commented that if someone cannot remember what happened that it does not necessarily follow they didn't consent, or were not able to consent.
