He's small but his hold up play is a strength - I read a good article about him the last time we were linked... I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: I couldn't!

I like Adams. He’s a finisher like Surridge but comes deep too. Wonder how much he’d go for.

I am not too enamored with signing him to be honest. Would prefer a younger player that we can improve.

We can't only sign young players though, it's all about finding a balance. Potential is a great thing but our current situation requires an injection of experience. We have a very young and mostly inexperienced side, it's important we add a couple of players who have been around the top division and understand the demands

That approach only gets you one thing: relegation.

We need a balance.
Che adams isnt a decent prem striker anyway 1 contribution every 200 minutes. I dont know could be harsh there and maybe stats like that in the premier league are the norm for relegation battling sides due to the nature of having your top 6. Reagrdless of the stats I just dont rate him either as a gut feeling. Obviously gets my full support if he comes in like any Forest player.

If you have a bit of time spare i'd recommend a quick flick through this - https://breakingthelines.com/data-analysis/data-analysis-che-adams/

Obviously not a 'Davis' but similar in the sense you wouldn't necessarily get the best results if you were to rate either of them purely on goal contributions

Of course there's better options but the reality is we have a finite amount of money and multiple positions/cover still to be addressed. All things considered we could do much worse than spend ~£15m on a player who's tried and tested at this level and can offer us a bit of something we don't currently have

I agree in general but Saturday made it clear that we are short of proven PL quality players and desperately short up top.

They fed on scraps but BJ and SS rarely looked capable of holding the ball up and linking play, let alone threatening.

Happy to see you've come around to my way of thinking after Saturday's display.

Better late than never ;) ....
Different game in the PL, aside from Burnley who we've swapped place's with I'm struggling to think of many players who play a traditional holdup role.

Goodison news saying that saints are privately willing to sell - Everton after him on a loan to buy apparently. It's always Everton.
