Blimey, he was nearing the veteran stage when he had a loan spell with us. Just checked and he's 40. "He's big, he's bad, he's older than my dad..." (as the Stags fans used to sing to Tony Ford).

Fair play to him, it's shame we didn't have him longer, I'm sure we would have looked upon him more favourably like we did with Grabban for example given his great goalscoring record in the EFL.

He’s in the same ‘why the f didn’t we keep him’ bucket as Darren Huckerby. I felt like both of them were made for us and it was such a shame they didn’t stay.
