Anyone finding this season boring upto now?

I don't think it's just you. The international break doesn't help and neither does our early exit from the Carabao. No Europe obviously too so it's literally waiting a week for the next game, at which point aside from the Villa game we haven't won or even looked particularly good.

No goals at home doesn't help either.

I'm underwhelmed so far but obviously willing to give it time. I don't think it's a guarantee that things will suddenly just click though.

Yes you've made great points👌 there doesn't seem to be any rhythm/consistency regarding our play and like you say with the games in general due to not being in the cup and international breaks.

Didn't many fans ask for a boring mid-table season for a change? That's pretty much what it'd be like... It's what your Fulhams, Bournemouths and, most of the time, Palaces usually get. I'll take it.
I'd take mid table yes but think you'll soon lose the appreciation of being in the Premier league. I still appreciate now the fact we're in the Premier league but it just feels bit boring at the moment.

You can never lose the appreciation of being in the PL, unless you belong to the small team of clubs that the PL can never afford to let drop. And even then, the danger is still there, as Spurs' last 2 seasons have shown. But outside that group, no one is safe forever, and it could be years before you are back up. So, if you have a decent memory and not that of a goldfish, you can't lose that appreciation.

The novelty definitely wears off and you can see it (and hear it) in the ground. I'd say the fanbase as a whole now sees us firmly as a midtable (ish) PL team that should comfortably take points off one group of teams and perhaps snatch some off another.

I agree with Maxi too in that Europe was mostly dull. Perhaps off the pitch it was good if you made the trip but aside from the first half against Betis there was nothing particularly memorable about the group stage as it was against sides who would struggle in the Championship.

You can never lose the appreciation of being in the PL,

I've a mate who's a Watford fan (no me neither) who said to me when we were storming up the Championship under Cooper that getting to the PL is more exciting than being in the PL.

Stuck with me as nothing since getting promoted has been as enjoyable or memorable as the Sheff Utd semi final and Huddersfield at Wembley.

I obviously can't feel things the same way from afar and watching the games on TV, but to me, our notable wins, battling draws vs top sides and unbeaten runs in the PL have been at least as enjoyable to watch and memorable as those highs of 2022, some of them even more. Perhaps not at the same levels of giddy excitement, but easily as enjoyable. I've loved every season, even the one when we barely stayed up, and I don't feel bored in the slightest playing Man U's and Chelseas every other week. I don't think I'd want us to go down anytime soon, even if we were dead-certs for automatic promotion the following year. I'll take PL "boredom", thank you.

So while I understand the sentiment, I don't share it at all.

The season has only just got going i do think Forest fans need the team to provide the spark to get the crowd going. The 2 narrow defeats against Leeds who we normally beat at our place then the dreaded game against a team we are supposed to beat but very rarely do on top of this stupid international break has left us feeling flat. We have to take comfort from another great performance at Liverpool and a well earned win at Villa. KTF COYRS

It feels a bit like 'we've seen it all before'. Championship Forest... Premier League edition.

We've gone from giant killing underdogs to trying to push up the table but have sank back into that timid mentality that saw us wallow in the Championship for two decades.

Doesn't help that we the league is filled with cheating bastards.

I reckon it's about time we sacked a manager.

Spice things up a bit.

We should have sacked and hired them at half time and full time and after every training session from the start of the season. If we are gonna break the record really break that shit.

Not for me. I absolutely did my nut when Taiwo scored against the Arse and the neighbours called the polis, I kid you not.

First Division or bust for me, had enough of that tedious Second Division on the TV where that Leicester commentator bloke was mumbling through the mike on ITV on a Saturdau night.

No ta.

Another Manager, another system, another excuse, it's rather bland but...Hull started pretty well and Coventry won the other week...ah yes get the title of the thread.

I don’t agree.

The Arsenal home game under Steve Cooper to stay up was a Forest classic and gave many supporters a feeling of total elation.

Or do the team need the crowd to give them the spark to really get going.

It's often been said that the crowd were like a twelfth man for the team in previous seasons. If they aren't keeping up the cheering and urging on at home like they have in previous seasons could that be feeding into some of the confidence of the team?
