Alexandre "Álex" Moreno Lopera

Yeah for me this is all about the effect on budget. I will say is Richards is injured fair enough, Moreno is excellent and makes sense at a crucial position.

If he isn’t though, I don’t like us using 15m if it takes that away from midfield. 15m is the difference between MGW and Aguibou Camara
Thats assuming there is a definite cap, we can spend money to get moreno and spend money on a quality #10, those two can exist at the same time and by all accounts we'd be willing to spend way over 100mil.

This lad is great, no idea why im seeing some of these responses.
No doubt he is a good player. The concerns are that he is going to be very expensive, and we will already have two LWBs at the club (assuming Toffolo signs).

Looks the business this fella. Surely means no Toffolo coming in, but certainly looks like an upgrade.

Sorry I know this has probably been covered a thousand times but what does BUPA stand for? I always thought it meant they get injured all the time but just read it’s something to do with unreliable source.

Moreno can also play as a winger, I don't see much of a concern if the board is willing to spend 100mil+ since we need one more midfielder and #10.

Can't help but wonder where this fits in, imagine Toffolo and Richards (Even if injured) would not be delighted to join knowing that a more experienced guy is being signed at the same time.
Assuming that he hasn't put pen to paper yet, I'd certainly think twice about signing if I was Toffolo and got wind of this.

Oooohh in which case I think its has passed the point in the evening I have any grasp on wit. Apologies - I retract my idiocy (my ratio of posting sensibly to posting b*llocks atm does nothing for my ego hah)

Would be a brilliant signing, might also mean that Cooper is planning for a backup formation depending on the state of our play and the team we play against.

Given that we don't currently play with wingers, we'd have to have a change of system to accommodate that (which isn't beyond the realms of possibility perhaps).

This chap certainly wouldn't be coming in to be a squad player/ back up or on the bench, that's for sure.

My humour isn't the easiest to grasp, to be fair 😂

I mean, it doesn't make sense to me but Ornstein has a pretty solid history in calling Forest stuff, which leads me to believe that either Toff is off, or Richards is injured. If neither of those is true then it looks like it could be a Samba situation, where we get a better player in afterward already tackling a positional need, with all of us questioning why (without knowing how good Samba truly was).

Or it can be squad depth, can play LW if we end up having a formation with that has a backup. There is 5 subs so gotta be smart with them.

We need at least 2 more midfielders.
They said they want two for each position, so two more midfielders, two #10's, probably another forward. Buying a third left back in one window when all those are missing for almost a club record fee seems like the kind of mental thing Forest have form for.

I do hope there isn't a meltdown as a result of a QAULITY player joining our ranks lol.
Don’t think anyone doubts his quality.
Purely confusion given Richards / Toffolo combo?
I see Brighton also linked - assume to replace Cucurella.

I suppose we'll find out in the next few days if there is an issue with either Richards or Toffolo. On the face of it, it does seem mad to sign another LWB. But I trust our recruitment team so there must be some logical reason why we are trying to sign him.

It’s a genuinely tough one, probably the toughest legit rumour so far. We are at the point where our starting 11 is only a midfield away from (I think) overwhelming support from Forest fans.

So easy to think “why are we spending our budget on a position we thought we already had covered”. But equally easy to think “our wingbacks are so important and we are linked with one of the better LBs in world football , awesome”

Whatever happens, at least we can rest assured that whoever starts at LWB will be significantly better than Gaetan Bong!
