Did you speak to the club today? I did send a text but it may be in the ether above the River, take a look outside.

We paid a visit to the City Ground today, left a hat and pinned a couple of badges onto Elmo's scarf and signed the book.

Have used your second pic on the LTLF homepage, Di, I was sure you wouldn't mind.

I tried yesterday and didn't get through. Followed it up with an email asking when the best time to call is.

I like the fact that a couple of donaters have, very generously, donated £73 - a £1 for every £1m Doughty put into the club. I may get a shirt with the name 'Doughty' and the number 73, as a lasting reminder.

“In Nigel’s garden is a hedge of the Forest logo and with Nigel’s sense of humour this meant that his superb gardener, who is a Derby County fan, had to trim the hedge.”

Belter!

I remember that was his Twitter picture, and talked on there about ribbing his Derby supporting gardener.

Boom! Great stuff!

I think everyone involved can be pretty proud of themselves.

This is such a great effort and, despite the criticism, everyone who has donated can rest assured that this moneywill make a difference to children's' lives.

Nigel Doughty would be proud.

A fantastic achievement. The more I read about Nigel Doughty, the greater respect I have for him. He was a true philanthropist. He was a businessman, a venture capitalist - usually the worst kind of businessman, but he genuinely cared for people and backed his beliefs with real funds. A real gentleman and a kind and caring man.
