Pains me to say it but Matthew Benham at Brentford seems a good sort: https://www.brentfordfc.com/en/news/article/interviews-matthew-benham-midtjylland-brentford-ownership-strategy
Khan at Fulham is as good a shout as any I think. 'Just' has the 11.5 billion and views himself as custodian of the club on behalf of the fans, while charging them an absolute fortune to watch them apparently. London though, and that aside . they seem reasonably happy with him. More so than his...
Playing side we'd be doing our nut if Lansdowne was our owner - sold Semenyo and Scott and didn't reinvest (enough), treading water league position wise. They have the components in place now so you'd hope they go for it sooner rather than later. Only looked a couple of good forwards short to me.
That's a good shout.
I'm sure there's lots of good owners below the top two tiers, though I'm asking about Champ and Prem as the dirty cash brings out the worst in folk.
Thanks for taking the time. Fwiw I expect movement in and out - I think Morgan has got the the point where bigger clubs are sitting up and noticing now, and Murillo, as much as he is a Rolls Royce, is replaceable (albeit with a different skillset). I'm expecting one or both to leave...
I don't think he'll go on the cheap - we've no history of that under these owners, say what you will about them - but I wouldn't be surprised if this is his last season.
Spurs or Newcastle are my guesses.
I'd always assumed that if Johnson wasn't allowed in this year's accounts we'd be ok pretty much the year after because of that sale and the way amortisation works. Mangala sale too. Am I wrong?
I've heard it all now - apparently the big guns have heard our Murillo price from Football Insider*: 'an offer above 20m'!!!! I mean, it's factual, but it ain't going to be 21 million is it!
* No doubt Pete O'Rourke quoting Pete O'Rourke when citing the fee.
Fair point, mine too, though at least we could see what Stan did. (I always thought he did pretty well at Liverpool too, despite them having him as a secondary channel running type - I'd need to check his output again).
