Bit OT this, but i'm frequently finding that when I go to edit a post, the edit box comes up blank. You can't delete it, edit it or (crucially) multi-quote in that post to save space. Is this a bug or something i'm doing wrong?
Nixon seems pretty sure. That would be great really. I hope we've learned our lesson about reckless spending but with a few reasonable additions we could make a push?
Probably not though.
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
All i'm saying is that if it had been an opposition player you'd be crying out for a red card. You're doing your best to vindicate his stupidity.
It's a red card every day of the week, whether he intended it or not.
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
I presume that as a football fan you've played the game at some point. How many times have you been hit where it's hurt like hell for a couple of minutes and then it's alright?
I think people need to take their rose-tinted glasses off...
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
I'll trust my judgement having been at them all instead, he was mediocre to shite at them all. Brilliant at Birmingham and shite ever since.
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
I'm speechless that you think he was our best player against Hudds and Hull. He was particularly useless against Huddersfield, couldn't pass the ball ten yards. He was at his worst against Bristol, completely anonymous and zero shots on...
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
Let's resurrect this one then.
He's been shite for weeks and this is the tin hat on it. He shouldn't be guaranteed his place, he's back to mid-season form from last year.
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
I don't think he was quite as good as people are making out post-win. First half he was something of a passenger and the game happened around most of our midfield in fairness. He was much better second half, but Birmingham had clearly...
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
You say that, but since these incidents we have bought Assombalonga from Peterbrough, loaned Kane from Chelsea and there's no evidence at all that Antonio is on strike.
The point stands but the suggestion that clubs won't deal with us...
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
At no point has it been suggested that it'd be a straight swap.
On Lansbury, I've been his biggest critic but he was incredible tonight. Ran the show entirely and his range of passing was unparalleled. Sadly, this will only hasten his exit.
Say for example we sell Lansbury for £5m and Antonio for £7m, shouldn't we be getting pretty close to the exit figure? We've lost Mackie's £25k or so per week, released loads more in Collins, Lars, Halford and Harding which will be around £50k per week too. Surely we're not miles off coming out...
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
Thought Lansbury played decently enough on Saturday but it was a bit pandering for us to give him the MOTM award. His dead balls were generally awful but he sprayed out some sublime passes in the second half.
Re: The Henri Lansbury SuperThread - Sponsored by Samuel
He played a few delightful through balls yesterday. Hope that's the Lansbury we see this season.
To cut apart the sea of negativity and downbeatitude here, I just wanted to say that when fully fit our options through the middle of the pitch are as good as I can remember for some time now.
Hamer, DDV and Evtimov is a strong selection of goalies, my Fosse mate raves about Hamer in...
Bit harder to write, but here we go:
3) Owning Up to his Mistake and Ending the Davies/Jim Circus:
Say what you want about Fawaz, but he doesn't hide behind excuses. He gave Davies all he needed to succeed but he still took the piss. Getting rid of him took balls but it was absolutely the right...
