Probably an unpopular opinion on here but I like Southgate. Yes he had a tendency for his teams to peak early in huge games and struggle in the final minutes but I think he’s got England to where they sit in the hierarchy of world football and it’s probably a fair reflection on where we are tbh

As soon as we got to Wembley in my opinion. He got us through a psychological barrier where countless had failed before. I believed even if we’d lost at Wembley that I wanted him to stay to be given an entire season.
