    It’s MACRON but not BOXT!

I wondered how long you'd wait for a Magala shirt.

The ‘I have something to say about Forest that doesn’t warrant its own thread’ Thread

I went out for my usual exercise this morning wearing, as usual, my Forest shirt. I walk past an old guy's house and he sometimes calls out "Come on Forest" or some such, he's just a football fan, not a Red. On those occasions I used to nod and express dismay about the weekend result. Very...

    Evangelos Marinakis Megathread!

Excellent, I didn't know that; guessed there might be a few, but that's a good list. Thanks.

Proper Football in the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s before those w***ers at Sky ruined it. (Sponsored by ADMIRAL sportswear)

I once spent a week trapped in Darwin with a boring Liverpudlian who, I learnt over and over again, had just joined the Masons and had named his son Ian after Ian Callaghan. Oh, the awful memories that photo brings back!

Just about to ask if it was Tomaszewski Cloughie called a clown, when I went below the picture.

Judging by the looks on the faces, that was just before running through the nettles.

    Rumour Mongers

Mentioned this before, but I once had to take a taxi ride from Prestwick airport to Abbotsinch, Glasgow to go back down to London. The taxi driver was so broad Scots that I really had a job understanding him. I realised at one point that he had mentioned football, but had no idea if he was...

    Evangelos Marinakis Megathread!

I thought the same sort of thing whilst the game was going on. There were numerous shots on the screen of old Forest faces at the game and I wondered if they were there just by coincidence as it was a special match, or if they had been invited specially.

After watching that game last night, they showed the Prem table; I looked in vain for our name, then realised that they were showing the bottom ten teams in the League and, of course, we are not in there!! Still in tenth position.

Once had a night out in Ayr. The publican advised us not to go to the bar upstairs. At chucking out time, that's exactly what they did, piles of bodies flying and crashing down the stairs, then rising, unsteadily, and making their way out into the night. Great entertainment.

I rely totally on this forum for my transfer information. The many and varied sites covered by you lot are wonderful, far better coverage than I can achieve on my own. Plus the information is balanced, one piece of information weighed against another to get a balanced view. I'm very happy with...

Official Premier League Matchday Thread 3 - Everton vs FOREST - 20.08.2022 15:00hrs

I want us to stuff every side we play. I might have had good experiences at certain clubs, but I really don't care a fig about any of them. I won't hope we drop points against certain sides because they are a good old-fashioned club steeped in history, I want maximum points against everybody...

The World Famous City Ground - Home of the WORLD‘S OLDEST LEAGUE CLUB

When I was a young lad, all football grounds were crap, made of rusty corrugated iron and concrete, no one in their right mind would buy food in there. Even if they had any facilities. Norwich City were a Third Division club, struggling along. Then they had a bit of success and also along came...

So far about what I thought. Polite at the start, but more and more pointed as the expected three points started to disappear.

    Summer 2022 Transfer Window

I think my reaction after seeing that graphic was that it was fairly well balanced between clubs staying up and going down. Could be wrong, memory playing tricks. Just seems to be the quality of players brought in and the chap in charge. So I'm happy.

If he comes here whilst hoping to go elsewhere, you might think that he will play out of his skin to persuade those other clubs to take him. Or possibly, he'll suddenly like it here and stay.
