Sauce salad?
I'm always surprised when punters like me can write off a player raved about by Klopp (work permit issued prevented him playing afik) and identified by Murphy and Coops, on the strength of a few preseason minutes (1 assist I think?) and 20 minutes or so against Newcastle. Think I'll judge him after a few* starts...

My man. Never doubted him.

His movement was superb, once he gets that match sharpness I think he will score plenty of goals. Can see he visibly tired after the hour mark, which is something he needs to improve on. Just chuffed he got his goal and quietened the moans about some of his pre season performances.

Tbf it is 32c today and even just sitting watching the match is tiring enough, let alone playing in it.

The difference for me was he kept going, with a huge smile on his face.

Not singling anyone out here, but so many times we have people cursing their luck, faliling arms, accusing team mates or protesting with decisions, it was a breath of fresh air.

Looking at Antonio's attitude with his constant moaning, grumbling and flapping of arms, it was a breath of fresh air to see Awoniyi on the shoulder of defenders getting caught offside and smiling, with that knowing look of 'Next time'......

And eventually with all his persistence, he got there.

Great home debut for Taiwo
Too many LTLF experts too quick to judge, just like they did with Ryan Yates.

Impressed. Wouldn't worry about him tiring after 60 minutes, everyone but OBrien did.
