Yes, think you are right they were trying to get £50m and Arsenal wanted to include players and they never agreed a fee.

As each year has passed the asking price has roughly halved - Think Arsenal didn't go in again when they could have got him for £25m last summer, he wanted a move and seems to have been a bit rebellious since not getting one.

Still I can't help but be excited about this one though!
