Has he singed yet?
Hopefully that element of him having something to prove will benefit us, more so when we get round to playing Manchester United.

He won't be able to play against Man Utd so what ever he has to prove won't expressed in those 2 games.

I initially thought Jesse was moving here for the money 200k per week and had my doubts if this was the right move for us. However now seeing the real financial picture and what he says in the interview I am now EXTREMELY happy we have him. It sounds like he is a likeable chap who really wants to play and who wants to help the guys new to the Premiership. Excellent. :)

He probably will move to a bigger club and a bigger pay packet next year if he does well, much like Eriksen did after Brentford. That's fine by me though, as him doing well will most likely result in us retaining our Premier League status.
If he helps us stay up then next year we will be a bigger club with a bigger pay packet and maybe.....

Just a suggestion, no links to him from us as far as I know.

There's another Onana who I reckon would suit what we need in midfield pretty well, most seem in agreement that we need a bit of a physical beast/ Samba Sow with knees. Jean Onana at Bordeaux (who were relegated last season). 22 year old Cameroonian international.

The pressure, tackles, interceptions and aerials are very impressive, 6'2 so adds a bit of (needed) height too. Would allow players like Mangala and O'Brien some freedom to attempt those dribbles, while still having the mobility to cover ground in a 2 man midfield. With Bordeaux being relegated he'd probably be significantly cheaper than the likes of Amadou Onana, Sangare and Stach.

i also noticed that wolves have just submit a bid of €3m on Bordeaux south korean winger/striker Hwang Ui-jo. We should do the same as he looks like what we need - fast , skilful and can play down both flanks and center.

We definitely seem to have entered a new phase in our summer recruitment. It's been a couple of weeks without any tangible new links from reliable sources, and suddenly there's several at once.

If I was to guess we've picked the low hanging fruits and we're now working on clubs who don't want/need to sell whilst trying to semi balance our books.

I'm pretty hopeless at this trawling the internet stuff, so rely on you guys to supply me with names and information.

So far this season it's been very good reading; hope it carries on in that vein, we still need a few.

So that's Bowler, MGW, Moreno, Freuler, Ramos/Dennis, Davis, Adams and Jizz we're looking at? Is that all?

How can anyone expect us to do well in the Prem with only 19 new signings? We need more defenders.

Ironically going forward is supposed to be his best asset, I think he looks suspect defensively especially with his positioning. Not writing him off after 1 game but he requires a lot of work to fit in at this level

You can see why we're looking for alternatives with Omar being sidelined for a while
