Andy Reid Coaching

One of the best we'll ever see in a Forest shirt. I hope you enjoyed it 'cos it's gone now.

Good luck Reidy.

It's a sad day to be a Forest fan, but I can't say I am surprised.
Agree with everyone else about his undoubted ability and how he has been missed.

Heffing Psycho!

Having been born too late for the Clough era, Andy Reid is the closest thing to a legend I've been able to see and properly remember play in the garibaldi, gutted that it ended this way. Thank you for the memories Andy and good luck with the future.

I guess Reid can call his old mentor , Paul Hart for a full-time coaching job at the paul hart football academy.

Not a surprise but still disappointing news.
It's a testament to Reid's ability that since he returned to the club no Forest manager has found a way to consistently win games without him. A talent and a talisman.

I don't have the exact stats to hand, but at a point there was a time when he played around 25 and missed around 25, with the records with him something like 3 losses, and without him it was the complete opposite.

His impact on the team shouldn't ever be doubted!

Bl**dy Derby, they killed Andy ('s career).

So long Reidy, thanks for all the memories. Good luck for whatever you do next (so long as it doesn't invole Derby of course).

The very fact we're still trying to fill the void two years later speaks volumes. Where other players need a couple of touches, Reidy just needed the one.

Absolute quality on his day.

Best of Luck Reidy.

Up there with one of the best players I've seen play in Forest red. Shame it's all been in the second tier. In some ways I think Reidy is a bit of a throwback. So much of modern football is about athleticism rather than ability. Andy was definitely a footballer first; he's got more natural ability in his right foot that many prem players have in their whole body, just without their athleticism.

Cheers Reidy.

The most enjoyable player to watch in a red shirt for 15+ years.

From staying on the pitch at Sheffield United to applaud the Forest fans during a pitch invasion, when all other players left the pitch to that outside of the foot cross against Watford for Henderson. A great player that has had hundreds of great moments.

Would be disappointing not to see him stay at Forest in some capacity.

Thanks, Reidy.

Watford.

Those were the days.

When wed go 2-0 down at home ans still had the confidence in the team that wed come back :bottles:

Andy Reid's final 20 league games for us:

WDDWWDDWWWDWDDDWDWWWD.

Including 4 goals, and 10 assists.

Says it all.

It is also telling that when he got injured under Stuart Pearce, Forest fell apart and were never the same that season.

Closest player Ive seen to Reidy was Lee Tomlin for Bristol City at our place last season.

Just signed a two year contract for them, I think he would have been a decent shout for us..

And JWJW wanted him dropped

I guess this is the part where we rip the bellends who were telling us that Reid, Cohen & Hobbs' injuries were no excuse for not finishing top 2 with Abdoun, Collins & Fox apparently able to cover instead.

One of the best players I've ever seen in a Forest shirt, unplayable on his day.

It's a shame Montanier/Fawaz/The Greek Fella don't see a future for him at the club in some capacity. More short sightedness from higher management.
