So, when we see injustice, we should never call it out?Instead we are sulking like teeenagers and shouting ITS NOT FAIR.

Financially our peers are Luton, ipswich and other clubs who have not been in the prem for 20+ years. Bournemouth and Fulham have both had massive injections of cash over the last 10 years and we haven’t been close to them.I cant bear that attitude this year. We have had it a lot easier than Sheff U, Burnley and Luton and yet we play marginally better than them. AT home against Sheff U, Burnley and Luton it was pitiful even though we had all the things in our favour. Manager with more time, spent more and been in the premier league for a year. Our peers should be Fulham and Bournemouth and just look at them compared to us. We are first and foremost the major reason why we are where we are. The refs thing is a complete misdirection by a board who knows they fecked up everything, Fecked up FFP, fecked up recruitment and didnt get the right manager in. Maranakis is the major problem this season not refs.
Yep, the board must be pissing themselves that the fans are moaning about refs rather than the fact we shot ourselves in the foot with a reckless and unnecessary four point deduction.I cant bear that attitude this year. We are 13th in overall squad cost.Financially our peers are Luton, ipswich and other clubs who have not been in the prem for 20+ years. Bournemouth and Fulham have both had massive injections of cash over the last 10 years and we haven’t been close to them.
In the last 2 seasons.. because we have tried to catch up to squads that have had years of cash flowing through them. we have tried to catch up and compete and we have breached ffp.We are 13th in overall squad cost.
Premier League - Purchase value
This view lists clubs of Premier League according to their purchase value. The purchase value is made up of all transfer fees paid by a club for the players of the current squad. Players loaned to other clubs are not included in the purchase value of the awarding club.www.transfermarkt.co.uk
It wasn't reckless or unnecessary though?Yep, the board must be pissing themselves that the fans are moaning about refs rather than the fact we shot ourselves in the foot with a reckless and unnecessary four point deduction.
This is true..........Covid losses & Promotion Bonuses..........which as you say were agreed & then disallowed at the last minute. By any standard this isn't right. It wasn't reckless or unnecessary though?
As I understand it, the Premier League only told us at the start of June that losses we'd told them about the previous July wouldn't be deductible. That left us with three weeks when everyone is on their post-season holidays to make up the shortfall. We were offered £30-somethingM from Atletico for Brennan but that was conditional on them selling first. Instead we waited two months and sold him for £15m(ish) more profit, which is surely more in line with profit and sustainability.
It's not as though we did an Everton and racked up silly losses and tried to hide them.
Well at least you have something to play with when the dark nights start to draw in.Especially after I'd had my tits done!
Are the new limits not referring to the 2024/25 season? That is the last season of the PSR rules as they currently stand. My inderstanding was that the new 'wgae cap' rules (or whatever they are called) are implemented from the 2025/26 season.but it would be changing the rules covering that period in which we breached. Only way it’s possible for this to be changed would be if they made it that for the first 2 years Of the 3 the limit is 70mill then the 3rd 60mill on its own.
too much scope for them screwing everything up and Leicester exploiting more loopholes.
not going to happen!
If this is all in writing, it'll be the basis for EM's legal battle if we go down. Moving the goalposts cannot be allowed. This is true..........Covid losses & Promotion Bonuses..........which as you say were agreed & then disallowed at the last minute. By any standard this isn't right.

I disagree, last year when we were building I would have a lot fo symptahy for your argument but we caught up this season https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/startseite/wettbewerb/GB1 . Its a crude table but shows Forests squad value is close to Bournemouth, Fulham, Everton and Wolves. Anecdotally as well I know I would much rather have our squad than Luton, Sheff U or Burnley. Also i wouldnt swap a lot of players with Fulham and Bournemouth. So I dont agree, I think we are massivley underachieving for our spend.Financially our peers are Luton, ipswich and other clubs who have not been in the prem for 20+ years. my Argument was more that they have had years with more cash and been able to more organically improve their squad to that value, with that generating a style, feeling of team etc. what we have is forced and not going to perform at the same levels even though the “value“ is similar.I disagree, last year when we were building I would have a lot fo symptahy for your argument but we caught up this season https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/startseite/wettbewerb/GB1 . Did you have to get a trans-Atlantic flight?Especially after I'd had my tits done!
If we've 'caught up' surely that's linked to the breaching of FFP, which is the reason we aren't in line with those clubs who have been in the Prem for chunks of the 20+ years previously.I disagree, last year when we were building I would have a lot fo symptahy for your argument but we caught up this season https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/startseite/wettbewerb/GB1 . Diversity is everywhere. I'm all for it, some of our Indian stewardesses were just gorgeous.Talking of which, the Dallas Cowgirls have just opened for this years auditions.
Me too. Generally I find a lot of the English to be an ugly bunch of bastards.Diversity is everywhere. I'm all for it, some of our Indian stewardesses were just gorgeous.

It's funny you should say that as I've got an image of what you and Val look like. It's the same for a lot of long time posters on here, I've got an image I've created for each one.I have to exempt my beautiful Val from this discussion. This actually is @valspoodle :It's funny you should say that as I've got an image of what you and Val look like. It's the same for a lot of long time posters on here, I've got an image I've created for each one.
That's him although my image has him with a shovel instead of a gun and a pair of wellies with his suit.
Lawyers expecting at most a point back yet Everton only get charged 2 points for their second offence?? It’s bullshit if that is true.Sky / Rob Dorset from the ground - club disapointed they haven’t heard anything yet. One day over when they were expecting to hear.
Unlikely to hear anything before Monday now due to Luton playing tomorrow and us on Saturday.
Lawyers expecting at most a point back.
May hear tomorrow about FA / Prem charges for the Everton fall out!
It's like that across the board, there are very few businesses/governments/organisations where it seems the people in charge actually know what they're doing.what grinds my gears, is that we are in a multi-billion pound industry, and the people running it, and facilitating its running, seem to have little idea and seem to be making it up on the fly.
Bingo! If we've 'caught up' surely that's linked to the breaching of FFP, which is the reason we aren't in line with those clubs who have been in the Prem for chunks of the 20+ years previously.
(Edit: and f***, I find myself sucked back on to the abyss that is this thread. Escape!)
